Yellow Sunshine is a fresh new brand, a spin off from the creative minds at new roots' R&D team. Born from a mixture of crazy ideas and different minds and practical experimentation, it captures the spirit of exploring new possibilities.
We've dedicated countless hours in the lab, diving into the world of bacteria to find just the right ones for our newest innovation. In collaboration with Swiss and German farmers, we're bringing lupin, a promising new ingredient to the table.
Instead of over processing, we keep the original ingredients as intact as possible, removing only the unwanted parts (like excess fiber). Then, we enhance the functionality using precision fermentation amazing bacterias and yeast and fungi that will do a precise job in a targeted chain reaction.
The current industry approach?
Take protein that are produce through precision fermentation, animals or plants, mostly make isolates, strip them down in a very expensive process to a single compound, then add fats and ingredients back in to mimic functional properties. This process is inefficient, costly, and unnecessary.
With our approach?
We create functional protein concentrate with zero compromise and no need to "rebuild" them later.
The result?
More nutrition, better taste, and lower costs for the food industry, chefs, and innovators.
You may not have heard of the lupin before, but we're here to introduce you to one of the most remarkable legumes we've ever encountered. With years in search of raw materials and endless agriculture tests, we found a new raw material that will help us changing the food industry. Its beautiful flowers stole our hearts, and just like true love, we soon discovered its incredible benefits.
We found it
Our team has spent years searching for the perfect raw material, one with exceptional nutritional value, a hefty dose of protein, healthy fats, and a whole lot more.
· A staggering 40% protein content.
· Zero saturated fats — naturally clean and healthy.
· Soil superhero — returns nitrogen to the soil (farmers love it and so will you!).
· DIAS of 0.9 (thanks to its incredible amino acid profile when fermented).
· Full amino acid score
